The new Meade #884 Deluxe Field Tripod replaces the #883 tripod, and can be used in equatorial or alt-azimuth mode. Designed specifically for the ETX-90, ETX-105 & ETX-125 Astro Telescopes, it is constructed of strong, lightweight steel. Tripod height adjusts from 25" to 44", for seated or standing observations. A graduated scale for elevation angles from 20° to 90° permits precise polar alignment for the telescope for astronomical applications. Tripod tilts and locks at 90° for terrestrial applications or for altazimuth use with Autostar™-equipped ETXs. Telescope attaches to tripod in seconds with 2 thumb screws. The tubular steel construction of the tripod's legs provide additional rigidity for ETX telescopes. A quality Cordura-type carry bag is provided at no additional charge.
